Personal & Professional Development

What is a 'coach'

Etymologically, the English term “coach” is derived from a medium of transport that traces its origins to the Hungarian word kocsi meaning “carriage” that was named after the village where it was first made. The first use of the term coaching to mean an instructor or trainer arose around 1830 in Oxford University slang for a tutor who "carries" a student through an exam. Coaching thus, has been used in language to describe the process used to transport people from where they are, to where they want to be.

Balance your thoughts with action. If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you'll never get it done. ~  Bruce Lee

When Skiing is not about skiing..............

In May 2012, I had the the pleasure of welcoming to Marmot Basin, Eagle Radio's gorgeous morning goddess...... Patti Shea!
Patti took an hours ski lesson with one of our fabulous instructors, Milt. Patti's aim for her lesson was to step out of her comfort zone and challenge herself.
Everyone has a different reason for learning to ski / snowboard and you'll be amazed what it can do for your confidence off the slopes too.
Expand your horizons and challenge yourself!!

"Laura Campbell is able to tap into her wealth of varied experience and adapts to any situation. Our initial meeting was at a Women's Business Luncheon. That brief introduction led to an opportunity to help me out of my comfort zone, an exercise that has had life-changing results for me. Her calm demeanour and expertise in several fields combine to make Laura someone who is uniquely suited to just about any situation"
